Visitor Visa
- The Visa allows an alien the followings:
- For tourist or visitor purposes only.
- Consulting with business associates.
- Negotiating a business contract.
- Attending a business convention.
- Attending a conference of any kind.
- Participating in short-term training.
- raveling for a scientific, educational or professional purpose.
- Settling an estate.
- On a Visitor visa, the alien may not engage in any employment.
- At the interview you must be able to prove the following
- You intend to remain in the U.S. for a limited period of time.
- You have enough funds to cover your trip to and stay in the U.S.
- You have no intention of abandoning your home country and residence abroad.
- You have ties to your home country sufficient enough to show your intention of returning home, like Family, good job and real properties.
- If you want to extend your visa, you should apply at least 45 days before your visa expires.
- If you remain in the U.S. after your visa expired, you may be deported or barred from entering the U.S. again.
- You may be eligible to extend your visa if :
- Your nonimmigrant visa remains valid;
- You have not committed any crimes;
- You have not violated your status;
- Your passport is still valid for at least 6 months.
- It takes from 1 to 3 months to get your visa extended, if you qualify.
