Removal Of Conditions
- Your green card is only valid for 2 years, if you are married to a U.S. citizen or to a green card holder
- You must file an application to remove the conditions, in other words to get a new green card valid for 10 years, if you qualify;
- You must file the application with or without your spouse 90 days before your green card expires, otherwise, your status will be terminated;
- It takes an average of one year to receive the new green card;
- You still can apply for U.S. citizenship 9 months after your 2-year green card expired.
